End of Shinshinto period, very special sublime polished Shibuichi Tsuba in oval shape, with Mount Fuji or as the Japanese say Fujiyama with snow in silver on top and the rising sun with sunbeams, gold inlaid, and at the bottom the waves with water splashing and gold inlay drops of the Japanese Sagami sea. On the back a rhyme or poem engraved, very dark patina, this Tsuba is from the Mito School.
